You Are Lovely

Happy Friday, dears!

Today’s my last #C9FeatureFriday as guest host for Concord & 9th’s July release.  I’ve had a blast and today we’re sharing projects using my favorite items from the set, the Lovely Blossoms Turnabout stamp and die set.  Be sure to check out projects from the other guest designers over on the Concord & 9th blog!

I started with a 5.5″x5.5″ piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest Cardstock which I temporarily adhered, using Tombow Mono Removable Adhesive, to a square jig.  Then, using a Misti Stamping tool, I proceed to stamp in four different inks, rotating the jig 90 degrees after each impression, to create a full pattern.  I used Altenew Rouge, Crimson, and Rocky Shore inks, and Delicata Golden Glitz ink for a bit of shimmer. If you aren’t familiar with how Concord and 9th’s Turnabout stamps work, check out this YouTube video for a great tutorial!

I used the hexagonal dies to cut out a hexagon from vellum, and also from a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.  Then I cut the sentiment out of white cardstock. I applied the same Golden Glitz ink directly to the sentiment to cover it in gold.

I used the same set of four inks to create colored cardstock out of white cardstock and then die cut the little hearts out.  Then I adhered the sentiment, and a sprinkling of hearts, the vellum die cut.

I trimmed the background down to 4.25″x5.25″ and then adhered the vellum piece.  I used the fall-out Desert Storm hexagon die cut to frame the vellum and the, to finish, I adhered the entire card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for coming by!
