Hi there, I hope you’re having a great day!
I’m continuing with my flower theme this week, finding hard to accept that summer is coming to a close. Today I’ve used flowers from the Bouquet Builder 1 stamp set from Waffle Flower Crafts, and a sentiment from the Lovely stamp set from the Essentials by Ellen line at Ellen Hutson.
I started by stamping the large flower image multiple times to cover the background. I used Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink and the cardstock I’m using is an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest.
I did some very basic coloring with three colors of yellow: Y11, Y15, and Y17. I laid down a solid layer of the lightest color, and then brought in a bit of each of the darker colors at both the bottom and the tips of the petals.
Then I used three shades of green (YG61, YG63, and YG67) in a similar way on the stems and leaves, starting with a solid layer of YG61 and then flicking in the two darker colors.
I heat embossed the sentiment, using VersaMark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder, onto a scrap piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Then I backed it with foam tape and adhered it to the background.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for visiting!
