Happy half-way-to-Friday!
I’m on a Copic-colored flower kick this week, I think I’m starting to mourn the end of summer! Today’s card features the flowers from the Waffle Flower Bouquet Builder stamp set and a sentiment from the Neat & Tangled No Words stamps set. I just love how these sentiments pair with the flowers, it’s a combo I’ve used before.
I started by stamping the flowers in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock. I used a Misti Stamping Tool and rotated the card 180 degrees to wind up with a symmetrically stamped pattern.
Then, using R81, R83, R85, and R89 I colored the flowers. I started with a solid layer of R81 and then gradually added flicks of R83, then smaller flicks of R85, and even smaller flicks of R89 to create some depth. For the leaves, I used BG72, BG75, and BG78.
I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a scrap piece of the same cardstock. I trimmed it down into a small rectangle and then cut a slightly larger rectangle out of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I glued the two together and then backed the piece with foam tape before adhering it to the background.
To finish up the card, I adhered the card front to an A-2 sized card base.
Thanks very much for swinging by!
