Hi there and happy Friday! Today I’m super excited to share that I was invited to be a guest designer for Concord and 9th’s July release. This is my first time guest-designing for a stamp company and I’m so flattered to have been asked by one of my favorite companies!
Today’s card features the beautiful Laurel Frame stamp set and coordinating die set from Concord and 9th. They also offer a bundle at a 10% discount over buying the items separately. This stamp set has a variety of sentiments that make it very versatile.
I used a Misti stamping tool to stamp the two wreath layers in Altenew Parrot and Olive inks onto Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock. Then I stamped the trio of flowers using Altenew Blush and Rough inks. There are actually three layering stamps that make up these flowers, but I decided to use only the first two layers for a softer look. Then I die cut these the wreath and flowers out and set them aside.
I used the small banner die to cut a banner from Recollections gray kraft cardstock. Then I used VersaMark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder to heat emboss the “sweet baby” sentiment. I trimmed the left side of the banner off and adhered a small heart (another die from the set) that I’d inked up with the same Rouge ink.
I inked some scrap pieces of paper with Parrot and Olive inks and then used the leaf die cut from the set to cut out three sets of leaves.
With all of the basic elements prepared, I started playing around with the layout. I stamped the “welcome” sentiment onto the center of the wreath in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I confess that I didn’t like where I stamped it but luckily the die set comes with a die that cuts out the inside of the wreath. So, I simply used that to cut another white center of the wreath and adhered that over my mistake 🙂 I restamped the “welcome” sentiment in the right place and then used foam tape to adhere the heart and banner to the wreath, pinning the leaves underneath. I also used foam tape to pop up the flowers.
The background is an A2-sized piece of the same white paper onto which I stamped the large striped background stamp from the Stripes & Sayings stamp set from the release. I used the same Blush die to coordinate with the flowers.
To finish, I added foam tape to the back of the wreath, adhered it to the striped background, and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
