Happy almost-Friday to you, I hope you’re day is going well!
Today’s card features the One Cool Pineapple stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I was lucky enough to get to play with this set while crafting with friends last weekend. Crafty friends are the best!
I started by heat embossing a pineapple using Versamark ink and Ranger Super Fine Gold embossing powder onto a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Then, using Prismacolor colored pencils, I colored in and subtly shaded the pineapple. I used Jasmine, Yellow Ochre, and Golden Rod for the body of the pineapple, Dark Brown for the spots, and Chartreuse, Apple Green, and Grass Green for the stem.
Then I fussy cut (I never fussy cut because I’m so bad at it!) the pineapple and temporarily positioned it over an A2-sized piece of Neenah Desert Storm so I could get an idea of where to stamp the sentiment. Then I heat embossed the sentiment in the same gold embossing powder.
I then used Versamark Ink to stamp pineapples over the background to create a tone-on-tone pattern. To finish, I adhered the colored pineapple with foam tape and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for coming by!
