Hi there, I hope your weekend has gotten off to a lovely start!
Today’s card uses the You Are Enough stamp set from Concord and 9th. I pulled it out again because today is one of many cancer-versaries for me (this one’s for surgery) and when my mind decides to go on an emotional roller coaster ride without my permission, a simple and strong statement like this sentiment can feel grounding.
I stamped the image and sentiment in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used a Copic Multiliner pen to extend the stem to the edge of the page because the stamp was a little short.
Then, using RV10, RV23, RV25, and RV29, I colored the petals. Since this flower is abstract, I didn’t worry too much about trying to keep the shading true to life which can be a challenge for me. Instead, I just used darker shades where it seemed like petals were overlapping or behind one another. Then I used YG63 and YG67 for the stem, though it’s hardly noticeable that the YG67 is closer to the flower.
To finish, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
