This card is an homage to my days skiing with my dad. He taught me to ski when I was four and until I went off to college, we skied together each winter. For four or those winters we lived at the base of Sandia Peak, in Albuquerque, NM, and I made this little scene based on the many many weekends we spent on the slopes there. I colored this flower yesterday as I was hanging out with a crafty friend and as I was putting together the card this morning, I was thinking about how grateful I am to have found my way to Instagram and to have met so many wonderful crafty friends. So, I paired the flower with a sentiment that expresses how I feel about this amazing crafty community that has welcomed me with such open and loving arms. Thank you so very much!
