Hello and welcome! It’s release day at Hero Arts and we’re celebrating the March release with a blog hop and a giveaway. If you’ve arrived from visiting Jeannie Lieu, you’re right on track!
Experience the breathtaking beauty of misty mountains and tranquil waters with the March My Monthly Hero kit. Featuring a 6″ x 8″ clear stamp, a generous number of coordinating dies, and a stunning patterned gate window die, this kit offers a glimpse into the wonders of nature and beyond. The Rub-on Transfers and 3 ink cubes, complete this serene and elegant Classic kit.
The Premium Kit includes additional elements to extend the potential for more cards and techniques – even more Creativity In The Box! In addition to all the Classic Kit components, the highlight of the expanded kit is a beautiful floral stamp set filled with everyday messages that you will repeatedly use, 10 coordinating dies, and our new Translucent Pinks Hero Hues Enamel Dots.
Thanks For Your Kindness
My first card today features elements from the Premium kit.
I started by stamping the cherry blossom branch in Intense Black Ink onto Dove White cardstock. I colored the image using Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out.
Next, I used the cover plate included in the kit to cut a 4.25″ x 5″5 panel of Dove White cardstock. Using foam tape, I popped up the resulting panel over a sprayed panel that I’d previously created. For the sprayed panel, I’d heavily applied Blue + Shimmer Tone-on-Tone Metallic Spray and Royal Purple + Gold Two-Tone Metallic Spray to a piece of cardstock and while the ink was still wet, I pressed another piece of white cardstock over top to absorb some of the excess color. This second generation panel is the one I used for this card.
To assemble the card, I used more foam tape to adhere the cherry blossom branch and then added a sentiment (also from the kit) before gluing the card front to a Dove White top-folded card base.
Thank You
My second card features the new Cherry Blossom Cover Plate die and the Crane Wishes stamp and die bundle.
I started by stamping the beautiful crane in Intense Black Ink onto Dove White cardstock. I colored the bird using Copic markers and then used the coordinating die to cut it out.
Next, I die cut the cover plate from a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Dove White cardstock. I used a very light pink Copic marker to color the blooms and a darker pink marker to add small centers to each flower.
Then, I used a blending brush to blend Aquatic ink at one end of a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Arctic cardstock. I glued the cherry blossom frame to this panel and then used foam tape to adhere the bird. To finish, I added a sentiment from the Crane Wishes set and then glued the card front to a Dove White top-folded card base.
Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is Karen Brown. Be sure to read below for giveaway details!
