Hello, I hope you’re having a wonderful week!
Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Topography background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. My first thought on seeing this background pattern was to color it in tropical ocean colors but I decided to use some yellow, orange, and peachy colors instead. What colors would you use?
I started off by using Wow Embossing Pad and Hero Arts White embossing powder to heat emboss the background onto a panel of watercolor paper. Then I used Karin Brushmarkers to color in the pattern. This process felt so satisfying!
Next, I stamped a sentiment from the CZ Design Birthday Basics stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock and used the coordinating die to cut it out.
To assemble the card, I trimmed the watercolor panel down to just under 4″ x 5.25″ and then glued it to a slightly larger panel of white cardstock. Then, I used foam tape to adhere the panel to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of a salmon-colored cardstock. To finish, I used more foam tape to adhere the sentiment and then glued the card front to a card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
Groovy!
