Hello and welcome! Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Just Imagine Collection! If you arrived from Jaycee Gaspar’s blog, you’re right on track. If you’d like to hop along from the beginning, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list!
I have three cards to share today so I’ll jump right in!
Happy Holidays
Altenew supplies:
- Wild Rose Complete Bundle (stamps, dies, hot foil plates)
- Holiday Greetings Complete Bundle (hot foil plates, dies)
- Diamond Frame Cover Die
- Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris Crisp Dye Inks (flower petals)
- Limeade, Lime, Fresh Leaf, Shadow Creek Crisp Dye Inks (leaves)
For this card I first hot foiled the flower and leaf outlines in gold foil onto white cardstock. Then I stamped the layers of the flowers and leaves using the colors listed above. I used yellow and orange markers to add color to the centers of the flowers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Next, I heat embossed the tiny leafy stems in gold embossing powder onto vellum. I cut those out as well with the coordinating dies. Then I hot foiled the sentiment using the same gold foil and white cardstock and then cut it out using the coordinating die.
For the background, I cut out the Diamond Frame Cover three times from white cardstock and then stacked and glued the layers together.
To assemble the card, I used glue and foam tape to adhere all of the floral bits and the sentiment and then finished by gluing the card front to a card base.

Hugs
Altenew supplies:
- Swallowtail Butterfly Die Set
- Versatile Greetings Die Set
- String Panel Cover Die
- Aqualicious Crisp Dye Ink
- Large Blending Tool
My second card features the new Swallowtail Butterfly die set. I die cut the layers of the butterfly, as well as the hugs sentiment, from white cardstock and then used foam blending tools to color the pieces with Distress Oxide Inks (Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and Crackling Campfire).
Next, I used a large blending tool to blend Aqualicious ink over the bottom of a white oval of cardstock. I glued this oval over a slightly larger oval cut from vellum. Then I glued the butterfly and the sentiment.
To finish, I glued the oval to a background I made by stacking and gluing three String Panel cover die cuts together and then glued the card front to a card base.

Hello
Altenew supplies:
- Gracious Peonies Complete Bundle (stamps, dies, layering stencil set)
- Versatile Greetings Complete Bundle (dies, hot foil plates)
- Simple Shapes Cover Die
- Permanent Black Ink (flower and leaf outlines)
- Buttercream, Sunray, Chamomile, Snapdragon, Marigold Crisp Dye Inks (flower petals)
- Limeade, Lime Crisp Dye Inks (leaves)
- Mini blending brushes
This card features the gorgeous new Gracious Peonies bundle. I first stamped the outline images in Permanent Black ink onto white cardstock. Then I used the layering stencils and mini blending brushes to blend color onto the images. Rather than use some of the more detailed layers of the stencils, I stuck to the open layers and then creating shading by using darker colors towards the bases of the petals.
I used the coordinating die to cut out the image and then adhered it to a background made with the Simple Shapes Cover Die. I added a hot foiled sentiment and then finished by gluing the card front to a card base.
