Hello Dear Friend | Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Elegant Motifs Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, I hope you’re having a good day! Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Elegant Motifs project kit! This great kit includes stamps, coordinating dies, coordinating coloring stencil set, and a slimline embossing folder featuring the same florals as the rest of the kit. To recreate this card:

  1. Stamp the florals in black ink onto white cardstock
  2. For each floral, position the coloring stencil over the stamped image and use low-tack tape to temporarily hold the stencil in place (I didn’t use the base coloring layer of the stencil so I could keep a lot of white in the image)
  3. Use a small blending tool to blend Wisteria ink over the stencil, then blend Ultraviolet ink around the edges of the exposed image to add a bit of darker shading
  4. Use the coordinating dies to cut out the images and set aside
  5. Use two dies from the Rounded Rectangles die set to cut white cardstock
  6. Use a small round paint brush to splatter Jet Black Ink Spray over the larger rounded rectangle
  7. Stamp a sentiment on to the smaller rounded rectangle
  8. Adhere the two rectangles together and set aside
  9. Position a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock in the embossing folder at a diagonal, so that the line of florals runs diagonally across the panel from top left to bottom right, and run through your die cutting machine using the sandwich recommended by the die cutting machine manufacturer
  10. Use glue or double-sided tape to adhere the rounded rectangle piece to the center of the embossed panel
  11. Use foam tape to adhere the florals to the bottom left and top right of the background; trim off areas that hang off the panel
  12. Adhere the card front to a card base
