Keep Going | Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Camellia Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, I hope you’ve had a good week!

I began my card by stamping the floral image and “Keep going” sentiment in black pigment ink onto watercolor paper. Next, I got a selection of Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers:

I started by adding just a small touch of Ruby Red to the inner areas of the petals where I wanted the darkest color. Then I used Warm Sunshine to blend out the Ruby Red out to the edges of the petals. I used Ruby red to add a bit of color to darkest area of each of the small berries and then used a waterbrush pen filled with clean clear water to pull out the color over the rest of the berry. To finish, I used Moss and Sea Forest to add color to the leaves, laying down the light color first, letting it dry, and then adding shading with the darker green and blending it out.

Next, I used white embossing power to heat emboss the small sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment strip to the card front and then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

  20. Your water coloring is stunning and skillful! I appreciate being inspired by your card because so often I struggle in picking which colors to use together. I think yours are perfect, and I will be referring to your card in the future!
