Hello and happy Friday!
I’m so excited to be part of the Hero Arts and Pear Blossom Press Bold & Bright hop today! If you arrived from Dana Joy’s blog, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Pear Blossom Press Blog. Check the bottom of this post for the full blog hop list and for details about the giveaway!

I started off my EZ-Light card by stamping the three layers of buildings in the Hero Arts City Heroscapes stamp set onto Dove White cardstock. I stamped first layer in Soft Granite, the second layer in Charcoal, and the top layer in INTENS-ified black ink. Using the coordinating die, I cut out the image and set it aside.
For the background, I began with an A2-sized piece of Hero Arts Lapis cardstock. Using a blending brush, I blended Blue Hawaii Reactive ink on the top third of the card and then deepened the blue at the very top of the card by blending on Navy Shadow ink. When the panel was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment using Embossing & Watermark ink and white embossing powder. Next, I added a bit of white acrylic paint splatter and set the panel aside to dry.
To assemble the card, I first used foam tape to adhere the buildings to the background. Then, using a craft pick, I pierced holes in the background behind the tops of the building spires, and behind the center of a building on the right side of the card. On the back of the panel, I placed each of the three lights that comes with an EZ-Light into each small hole and then taped down the wires with paper tape. I slipped the battery into the housing and then taped down the housing as well, with the button behind a building on the left side of the panel.

I added a double-layer of foam tape around the perimeter of the back of the panel and then adhered it to an A2-sized card base.
As a finishing touch, and to hint to where to press to activate the lights, I adhered a small heart embellishment to the card front.
Thank you so much for coming by! Your next stop is the lovely Libby Hickson!

Gorgeous card. Part of the fun from the EZ lights is seeing the press me sign and trying to figure out where the lights will be shining out of. Great placement on this Hero Arts stamp skyline. Gorgeous.

Your design is so bold, but there is a sweet simplicity to it that is refreshing.

Wow, that night sky is beautiful. And I really like that you put a heart where they should push for the lights. I like that option over a big sign that says “push here”, it just sticks out to much to me. I think anyone would love to get this card.
