Hi there and happy Friday!
Today, Tonic Studios is celebrating their September stamp release with a blog hop and giveaway. If you’ve arrived from Sandi’s blog, you’re right on track! If you’d like to start at the beginning, head on over to the Tonic Studios UK blog.
My card today features the Heartfelt Corsage stamp and die set, inspired by my lovely friend Maria Willis.
I started by using white embossing powder to heat emboss the large floral image twice onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. Next, I used blending brushes to blend Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, and Scattered Straw Distress inks over the image. To intensify the orange and brighten the yellow, I went back in with a bit of Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade.
When the ink was dry, I used the coordinating die to cut out the images. Then I trimmed one of the corsages, creating two straigh edges at a right angle. I used foam tape to adhere this piece to the bottom left corner of an A2-sized panel of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock, insetting it a bit to create a visual frame.
I trimmed the other corsage into several pieces, again creating right angles and adhering them with foam tape to my card front.
Next, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and, to finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting! Be sure to check below for information about the giveaway and for the full blog hop list.

I am impressed by the color blending instead of coloring each specific area of the stamp. It is so much quicker and has a fresh look.
