Welcome to The Gray Muse Blog Hop featuring the 2020 Summer/Fall Stamp Collection! This release includes seven gorgeous floral stamp sets and one must-have sentiment set titled Social Distance! If you arrived from visiting LauraJane, you’re right on track.

My first card today features the beautiful Lovely Lotus stamp set. I stamped the floral image in Gina K. Designs Warm Glow ink onto an A2-sized piece of Fabriano Artistico Extra White Cold Press watercolor paper. Then I used Karin Brushmarker Pro markers to watercolor the image. I scribbled Skin 1, a very pale peachy pink, onto my glass work surface and then used a waterbrush pen to pick up the color and apply it over all of the petals. Then I scribbled Amber and Magenta onto the glass and used the same technique, this time concentrating Magenta at the tips of each petal and then pulling out the color. For the centers of the flowers, I used Gold and a bit of Amber. And for the leaves, I used a mix of Olive Green and Lime Green.

Next, I heat embossed a sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and then used foam tape to adhere the sentiment strip to the card front. Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

For my second card, I stamped the floral image from Forever Fuchsia stamp set in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I colored the darkest pink parts of the flowers with RV09, RV06, and RV04, and the very pale pink parts with RV02 and RV00. The leaves are YG05, YG07, YG09, and G05. I trimmed the panel to about 3.75″ by 5″ and then stamped the sentiment, which is from the Flourishing Bouquet stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

To assemble the card, I mounted the floral panel onto a slightly larger piece of Hero Arts Pebble cardstock and then used foam tape to adhere the combined piece to an A2-sized card base.

  15. Your watercoloring with the Karin markers just looks different from everyone else’s. Somehow, it just glows. I don’t know what you are doing differently, but please keep doing it…it makes me so happy to see it!

  26. Awesome coloring of these beautiful floral designs! The fuchsias are a favorite of the stamp sets! I’ve always been partial to the flowers and usually have at least one fuchsia growing out on my deck!
