Hello, crafty friends, I hope you’re having a good day!
Yesterday I was playing with the new Wildflowers and Weeds stamp set and these two sketched flower images captured my attention. They’re a lovely balance of simplicity and detail.
I started by working on the background . I used foam blending tools to blend Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.
When the panel was dry, I stamped the two floral images in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I wanted a variety of heights so some of the images I stamped didn’t extend to the bottom of the panel. I fixed that by using a black pen to extend and fill in some of the stemps.
Next, I used a Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set, onto black cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment into a strip and adhered it to the card from with foam tape. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
Love this card and the colors.
