Hi crafty friends, it’s day three of Altenew’s 6th anniversary blog hop and if you’re looking for a bit of distraction from the fears and worries of the past few weeks, you’ve come to the right place. 💛 We’ve got lots of inspiration and ideas for you, as well as tons of prizes and special offers!

For this special blog hop, I used the beautiful Handpicked Bouquet stamp set.  Onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock, I stamped the outline layer in black dye ink.  Then I stamped the three flower layers in Sunray, Chamomile, and Snapdragon, stamping the lightest layer first and then adding the darker layers on top.  For the leaves, I used Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades.  I used the coordinating die to cut out the image and then set it aside.

For the background, I got out a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and used foam blending tools to blend Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide inks onto the panel.  Next, I trimmed the panel to 4″x5.5″ and stamped a sentiment, from the Fancy Greetings stamp set, in black pigment ink.

To assemble the card, I adhered the ink-blended panel to an A2-sized card base, and then adhered the floral image with foam tape.

  13. Hi from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Seeka I love your cheery card with the shades of yellow on it & the arrangement of it as well. We need some of that yellow heat that comes from the sun up here. We had a bit of wet snow & hail, then rain yesterday. It’s April for pity sake. Happy 6th Anniversary Altenew!
