Miss You Cards

Miss Your Face

Hi again!

I shared this card over on Instagram as part of Simon Says Stamp’s United We Craft blog party.  Over 75 crafters shared projects so be sure to head over to the Simon Says Stamp blog if you’d like to see some great inspiration using SSS-branded products!

To start, I used Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Flora Background stamp on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Using foam blending tools, I blended Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks over the panel.  I let the ink dry a few minutes before using a very lightly damp (misted with clean water) paper towel to wipe away any ink sitting on top of the embossing.

Next, using the Miss You, Missy stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock.  I trimmed the sentiment down and then cut a piece of velum to create a frame.  I adhered the sentiment to the vellum and then backed this piece with foam tape to adhere it to the background.  Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

As a finishing touch, I used a pink Copic Marker to very carefully (because I’d used pigment ink which can smear with alcohol markers) to color in the heart.  Then I added Ranger Glossy Accents over the heart.

Thank you so much for visiting!
