Hi there, I hope your weekend is going well and that you’re staying safe and healthy.
I had the chance to hang out, virtually, with some crafty friends yesterday and this is the card that I worked on while we were spending time together.
I started by creating the background with The Stamp Market’s Scallop Background Builder stamp set. I love the slightly art deco feel to this stamp set! I used Altenew Chamomile ink to stamp the rays, and Altenew Sunray to stamp the circles, but it’s hard to tell the difference between the two, especially because I used a Midas Touch Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to add some golden shimmer to the circles.
For the sentiment, I used the Paper Hug die. I cut the thin sentiment from Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and then used foam blending tools to ink blend Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide inks over the words. Then I used the thicker sentiment shadow die to die cut plain white 110# cardstock four times. I stacked and adhered these four layers together and then adhered the ink-blended sentiment on top.
For the small “sending you a” sentiment, I used the My Favorite Things Well, Hello stamp set. I stamped in black pigment ink onto white cardstock, and then adhered this little sentiment over the larger “paper hugs” sentiment.
To assemble the card, I adhered the large sentiment onto the background, and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
this card just makes me so happy … absolutely lovely
