Today I’m sharing a cute little ice cream truck from Catherine Pooler Designs. I can practically hear the telltale jingle of the ice cream truck now!
This sweet stamp and the coordinating patterned paper are part of the new Hello Sunshine release, all of which is available and on sale (at the time of this post) at Scrapbook.com!
I started by stamping the truck from the I Scream You Scream stamp set in Midnight ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I got down to coloring. I used BG10, BG11, and BG13 for the body of the truck and YG0000 and YG00 for its trim. Then I used RV00, RV11, RV13, and RV14 for the ice cream and other pink elements, and E33 and E35 for the cones. I finished coloring with a bit of C1, C2, and C3 for the glass and wheels and used a white Uniball Signo broad tip gel pen to add some highlights. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the truck and then set it aside to work on the background.
I trimmed a strip of Neenah Solar White and used the same black ink to stamp the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set. Then I trimmed a piece of plaid patterned paper, from the Sum-Sum-Summertime patterned paper pack, and adhered the sentiment strip to the patterned paper.
To assemble the card, I adhered the patterned paper strip to an A2-sized card base and then used foam tape to pop up and adhere the truck.
