Hi there, I hope you’re having a good week!
I finally had a chance to play with some goodies that I bought when I visited the My Favorite Things boutique last September. I feel so lucky to be able to reminisce about meeting crafty friends as I made this card. As you may know, crafting can be a lonely sport 😉
I started by heat embossing the Radiating Halftone Background stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I used white Hero Arts embossing powder and Wow Embossing Pad.
Then I pulled out foam blending tools and three shades of Distress Oxide Inks: Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, and Carved Pumpkin. I laid down arced stripes of the three colors and then blended the colors together where they overlapped. When I finished, I gently swiped a clean paper towel over the panel to remove any ink sitting on top of the heat embossing.
For the sentiment, I die cut the Happy Birthday Script die four times, three times out of heavy 110# Recollections cardstock and once out of Neenah Solar White. I stacked and adhered the die cuts together with the Neenah layer on top since it’s a brighter white than the Recollections cardstock.
To finish the card, I adhered the sentiment onto the background and then adhered the background to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
SO very lovely, Seeka!!
It was one of my best ‘meets’ of the year!!
