Happy Friday, dears!
Today I’m adding to my collection of clean and simple cards using the Floral Squares die set from Pinkfresh Studio. The set has six different dies and this is my fourth card using basically the same design, just swapping out the die, colors, and sentiment.
I started with an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth. Using 1″ Post-It tape, I masked off a square that was just slightly larger than the die.
Using foam blending tools, I blended Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks. I’ve found that while bristol smooth makes blending really easy, it’s also really easy to blend the ink right off the paper. So, once I got a solid layer down, I used a pouncing motion to add more color and blend where the colors overlap. The result is vibrant and well blended.
While the ink was drying, I die cut the framed floral three times from white 110# Recollections cardstock and once from Neenah Solar White. Then I stacked and adhered them together using a Zig 2-way Glue Pen.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Fearless stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Then I adhered the die cut over the inked square and finished the card by adhering the card front to an A2-sized card base.
This is so beautiful, love the simple design on the bright colours. 🙂
