Hi there, I hope you’re having a nice weekend!
Today’s card uses some of the pretty alcohol ink colors that I’ve been collecting, and a few products from Simon Says Stamp. If you haven’t checked out the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge, be sure to visit and see how you can enter to win a $25 gift card.
I started with an just-larger-than A2-sized piece of Legend Yupo paper which I placed on my glass work surface. I liberally sprinkled Sandal, Peach Bellini, Salmon, and Coral Ranger Alcohol Inks over the panel and then used an air puffer (the kind that comes in a camera lens cleaning kit) and a cheap small paint brush to move the inks around and blend them slightly. I added a few drops of Alcohol Blending Solution as well, to soften the colors and help them blend.
Since there was a LOT of ink on my panel, I placed another A2-sized piece of Yupo over it, rubbed over it, and then removed it so that I had two panels inked up. Then I set aside both panels to dry.
I used the Marilyn Full Card die to die cut a piece of 110# Recollections cardstock. Then I stamped sentiments from the Tiny Words Christmas stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto Neenah Solar White. I trimmed the sentiment strips down and backed them with foam tape.
When the Yupo panels were dry, I chose the original panel I inked up because the colors were a bit more vibrant and adhered the die cut over it. Then I adhered the sentiments. To finish the card, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so very much for visiting!
