Hi there, I hope you’re having a great day!
Today I’m sharing a card using two stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp that I have admired for a long time, and Distress Oxide inks.
I heat embossed flowers and leafy branches from the Winter Flowers stamp set using Wow Embossing Pad sticky ink and gold Ranger Super Fine embossing powder. I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock so that I could watercolor.
I smooshed Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Lucky Clover, and Pine Needles Distress Oxide inks onto my glass work surface and then used clean clear water and a small paint brush to dilute the ink a bit. I painted the florals and let them dry before using a Brother ScanNCut2 to cut them out.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the Stained Glass Greetings stamp set using the same paper and embossing powder. Then I die cut it out using the coordinating dies and backed the piece with foam tape.
For the background, I splattered Dr. Ph. Martin’s Iridescent Cooper Plate Gold onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. After it dried, I used Zots Bling adhesive dots to adhere the flowers and the greenery. Then I adhered the sentiment. To finish, I adhered the card front onto an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
