Hello there!
I’m crushing on these cute penguins from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Today I’ve paired this little guy with a background from Hero Arts and a die cut from Alexandra Renke.
I started by stamping the penguin, from Elizabeth Craft Designs’ Penguins stamp set, in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I colored the penguin with C1, C3, C5. and C7, with a bit of Y17 for his beak and dots of black Sakura Glaze pen over his eyes. For his scarf and ear muffs, I used RV21, RV25, RV29, and R39. And for the little gift I used BG00, B01, BG02 and BG07. I used the coordinating die cut to cut him out and then I set him aside to work on the the rest of the card.
For the snowflake background I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints cling stamp in Catherine Pooler Fiesta Blue ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White. Then I used the Alexandra Renke For You die to cut the sentiment from black 110# Recollections cardstock.
I decided to use a small square of vellum behind the penguin and sentiment and prepped it by spraying it with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz to give it a pretty glimmer.
To assemble the card I used foam tape to adhere the penguin to the vellum piece. Then I used liquid glue to adhere the vellum piece to the background. I used a Zig 2-way glue pen to adhere the sentiment to the vellum and finally to finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
this is so cute 🙂
