Hi there!
Today’s card is a watercolored image from Art Impressions. I’m still new to watercolor and I thought this small sweet image had just the right amount of detail for me to feel successful. I’m all about baby steps!
I stamped the Birdhouse Neighborhood stamp in watercolor friendly Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto watercolor paper. The sentiment around the border of the image reads, “Hope your days are happy & life’s good & all is well in your neighborhood.” How adorable is that?!
Uusing a small 2 round watercolor brush and Mission Mijello Gold watercolors, I took my time painting. I didn’t mix colors, I just used them straight out of the palette.
Last month I invested in an Escoda Versatil brush which holds its teeny point impeccably (I found the travel version on Amazon for about $12). I’m so glad that I bought this brush, it takes the frustration out of painting in teeny tiny areas and I feel like I have so much more control. I learned about this brand and style from Lydia (@understandblue) and she highly recommended it so I’m passing on the recommendation to you 🙂
When the panel was dry, I adhered it to an A2-sized card base and called it a day.
Thanks so much for visiting!
