Hi and happy Wednesday!
For day 7 of the Daily Marker’s 30-day Coloring Challenge, I’m playing with watercolors again, this time with a beautiful background stamp from Simon Says Stamp.
I used VersaMark ink and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Simon Says Stamp Outline Snowflakes cling stamp onto Canson XL watercolor paper.
I wet the entire background using a flat brush and clean clear water. Then, using a 2 round watercolor brush and Peacock Blue Mission Mission Mijello Gold watercolor, I took my time in adding color lightly to the snowflakes, and a bit more heavily in the areas around the snowflakes. When the panel was dry, I used another small brush to splatter watered-down white gouache all over. Then I did the same with watered-down Cerulean Blue gouache. Both gouaches are from a $5 Artist’s Loft set from Michael’s. I also spritzed the entire panel with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz.
While the panel was drying, I heat embossed tiny sentiments from Simon Says Stamp’s Tiny Words Christmas stamp set onto black 110# Recollections cardstock. I backed them with foam tape and adhered them to the card front. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for swinging by!
