Hi there, I hope your week has gotten off to a good start!
Today’s card is was a quick and easy one since this beautiful rose stamp has a ton of detail already. It’s the Roses Are Red stamp from Honey Doo Crafts, a company that I hadn’t heard of until I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Sacramento a couple of weeks ago.
I started by stamping the image in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I altered the image slightly by not inking up a rose bud or the bottom of the stem. I wanted to put the sentiment where the rose bud would have been, and I used a 0.3 Copic Multiliner pen to extend the stem to the edge of my card front.
I used RV00, RV63, RV66, and RV69 to color the bloom, and G21, G24, and G28 to color the leaves. I used the flicking method since the stamped image included all the flicks of black shading. This made for really quick and easy coloring.
Using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, I stamped the sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp’s Sketched Flowers stamp set. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
I like the shading on this 🙂
