Today I’m again playing with some pretty products from Picket Fence Studios. I really like this Succulent Floral stamp, it would be great for a modern holiday card, or a holiday card for someone who lives in warmer climates. Today I’ve paired it with a lovely sentiment from the Simply Wonderful stamp set.
I started by stamping the Succulent Floral stamp twice in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I colored with YG13, YG17, and G19 for the greens, RV14 and RV19 for the reds, and Y02 for the small areas around the red centers of the florals. I used a Brother ScanNCut2 to cut them out and then set them aside. I also stamped, colored, and fussy cut just the red center of a floral to use as a small embellishment.
I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah. I drew in a frame with a ruler and a 0.3 Copic Multiliner black pen. Then I backed the succulents in foam tape and adhered them to the card front, trimming off the edges. I used more foam tape to adhere one of the trimmed pieces to the top of the card and then used a bit of glue to adhere the small embellishment within the words of the sentiment. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
