Do What Makes Your Soul Shine

Hi there, I hope your day is going well!

Today I’m sharing another card using some new Pinkfresh Studio items from their latest fabulous release.  I’ve also made my first alcohol ink background in a very long while.  I don’t know why I don’t play with these more often!

I started with an A2-sized piece of Legion Yupo paper.  With a fan on and blowing air from behind me, over my shoulder, I quickly added drops of Lemonade, Peach Bellini, and Coral Ranger Alcohol Inks onto the panel.  Then I quickly added drops of Alcohol Blending Solution and began moving the inks and solution around by moving over the panel with a rubber air puffer (one of those plastic bulb things that you use to clean a camera lens).  On a different piece of Yupo, I used a straw and ruined the panel when condensation from my breath dropped onto the panel.  Once I’d gotten full coverage, I set aside the panels to dry.

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Folklore die cut, an A2-sized cover die, to create the intricate die cut out of Neenah Solar White cardstock.  When my Yupo panel was dry, I used a Zig 2-way Glue Pen to add adhesive to the back of the die cut and then adhered it to my alcohol ink background.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Pink Fresh My Favorite Things To Say stamp set, in Altenew Orange Blaze ink onto Neenah Solar White.  I trimmed it down and then trimmed a piece of my spare alcohol ink panel to create a frame.  I adhered the two together and then backed the piece of foam tape before adhering it to my card front.  To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks very much for swinging by!
