Hi there, happy almost-Friday!
I finally got to play with these sweet Fly With Me elephants from Mama Elephant. Aren’t they the cutest? And I don’t know about you, but for some reason, I just love seeing critters being carried away by balloons!
I started by stamping the elephants and the little bird in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I colored in the balloons with Y17, YR15, Y38, and YR16., leaving a bit of white space as a highlight. Then I colored the elephants with W1, W2, and W3. I also used a Prismacolor Warm Gray 90% colored pencil to add a bit more shading to the elephants. I cut them all out with a Brother ScanNCut2 and then set them aside.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Mama Elephant Carried Away stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White. Then using the Clouds stencil from My Favorite Things, I used a foam blender and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create layers of clouds. I also die cut some Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Clouds.
To assemble the card, I adhered the bird and the lowest elephant flush to the card front. I used foam tape for the other two elephants, letting the top elephant hang off the top of the card. I also used foam tape to adhere three puffy clouds, trimming off the edges that hung off the card. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
