Hi there!
Here’s another quick and easy card using a few sets from Simon Says Stamp. I’m still exhausted from my quick but very busy weekend trip so I’m using colors that energize me and a technique that is easy and satisfying.
I started by heat embossing the center of the Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Flowers background stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Versamark ink and white Hero Arts embossing powder for this.
Then I used Post-it Tape masked off a frame around the flowers and pulled out two foam blending tools and Altenew Inks in Warm Sunshine and Orange Cream. I don’t often ink blend with anything but Distress Inks, so I was really happy at how easy it was to blend regular dye inks on this Bristol Smooth cardstock. I added yellow to the top and orange to the bottom and then overlapped and blended them together in the center.
I peeled away the tape and then used my Misti stamping platform to stamp the sentiments in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. The small sentiment is from the Big Thanks Words stamp set and the large sentiment is from the You + Me stamp set, both from Simon Says Stamp.
Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for visiting!
