Today I’m sharing a card using the Filled With Joy card kit from My Favorite Things. I just saw that the kit is sold out, but MFT will release these stamps and dies sometime in the next six weeks or so.
I started by die cutting the red elements out of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I used Copic R30, R32, and R35 to color them in, creating an ombre effect on the ornaments and the star fallout pieces. I used the Silver Sparkle cardstock from the kit to die cut the strings and the silver parts of the ornaments (I don’t know what those are called!).
I used an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock for the background. I used a foam blending tool to blend on Peacock Feathers Distress ink and then sprinkled clean clear water onto the panel. After 10 seconds or so, I blotted up the water with a clean paper towel and then I began adhering the die cut elements. When I finished, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base to finish up the card.
