Hi there and happy Friday! Whew, we made it 🙂
Today I’m playing with an oldie but goodie set as well as a couple of new sets from Concord and 9th. I’ve been resisting the end of summer and trying to figure out how to move into fall while keeping the colors light and bright so these pretty yellows and oranges came to my rescue!
I started with an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock onto which I stamped the leaf stamp from the Season Borders stamp set three times in three different Altenew inks: Warm Sunshine, Orange Cream, and Autumn Blaze. Then I used an 8 round brush to splatter Dried Marigold Distress Ink, which I had diluted with a bit of clean clear water, around the background. I trimmed the background to 4″ x 5.25″ and adhered it to an A2-sized piece of kraft Recollections cardstock.
I used the same kraft cardstock to die cut the sentiment which is from the Grateful dies set. Then I die cut the large maple leaf from the Thankful Leaves die set twice from vellum. I used a Zig 2-way glue pen to adhere the sentiment to one of the vellum leaves and then I stacked the leaves together and added a few very tiny drops of glue behind the sentiment before I adhered it to the background. The loops of the L and the Y help anchor the second leaf die cut in place since the two vellum leaves aren’t adhered to each other. I used two layers of vellum to get better contrast between the sentiment and the background.
Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for coming by!
