Hi there and happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is getting of to a lovely start.
After dipping my toes into the pool of fall colors yesterday, I quickly jumped back into summer. I can’t help it, I don’t want summer to end!
This card features the Friendly Florals stamp set from Neat and Tangled. I’ve had my eye on this set for a while for it’s clean simple florals and sweet sentiments.
I started by stamping all of the floral images onto Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink. Then, I colored! I used R81, R83, R85, and just a smidge of R89 for the flowers, Y17 for the little yellow things (I don’t know what they’re called, oops!) and G20, G21, G24, and a smidge of G28 for the leaves. When I finished coloring, I used a Brother ScanNCut2 to cut out all of the images at once.
Using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, I stamped the sentiment in the center of an A2-sized card base. I added a light green splatter by smooshing Shabby Shutters Distress Ink onto my glass work surface, adding a bit of water with a small paint brush, and then using the brush to flick the color onto the background.
Then, I laid down all of the florals around the sentiment and, using a bunch of Zots Bling adhesive dots, I began adhering them down. I like using these small Zots when I have a lot of little pieces that I tuck into each other. By putting down one dot in the center of the floral, I can twist it if I need to and tuck in other pieces around the edges before I add more dots to secure everything into their final positions.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
