Thankful

Happy Friday, I hope you had a great week!

I’m not really looking forward to the end of summer, but I am loving this fall-themed set from Concord and 9th.  I couldn’t help but pull it out and start playing!

I started with an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock onto which I stamped the Thankful Leaves Turnabout stamp four times, rotating each time and using in four Altenew inks: Grapevine, Paper Bag, Firebrick, and Vineyard Berry.  Just like that, I had a beautiful background.

I hand-stamped three small leaf images onto scrap Neenah in three of the same Altenew colors and then die cut them using dies from the Thankful Leaves die set.  I also stamped the Thankful sentiment, in Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink, onto a strip of Neenah Desert Story cardstock.  Using a foam blending tool, I added Vineyard Berry ink to the edges of a strip of white cardstock in order to create a layer behind the sentiment strip.  I adhered the two strips together and then adhered the small leaves next to the sentiment, using foam tape for the maple leaf.

To finish, I adhered the sentiment strip to the background and then adhered the cardfront to an A2-size card base.
