Hi there, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful card using ink blending and some pretty supplies from Simon Says Stamp.
I started by using VersaMark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder to heat emboss the Flower Explosion background stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Canson XL Watercolor Paper. I had originally intended to watercolor the background which is why I used the watercolor paper but I changed my mind.
I used foam blending tools to blend Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks onto the background. These three colors blend really well together though, in hindsight, I wish I’d used Wild Honey instead of Spiced Marmalade in the middle. I think it might have resulted in a slightly brighter orange section.
I used the Big Thanks dies to die cut the sentiment and the shadow out of Neenah Solar White and vellum. Then I adhered the two together using small drops of glue. I heat embossed a small sentiment from the Big Thanks Words stamp set onto a strip of black #110 Recollections cardstock. Then I used glue to adhere both sentiments to the background before I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you very much for visiting!
