Hi there, I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend!
This week a lot of folks over on Instagram are sharing birthday cards to celebrate Concord and 9th’s third birthday so I thought I’d join in the fun!
I started by stamping the Bitty Burst Turnabout stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I rotated my cardstock three times and stamped in three Altenew colors: Rouge, Crimson, and Rocky Shore.
Then, using the Birthday Balloons stamp and die sets, I stamped two solid ballons in Blush and Rouge, and the Celebrate balloon in Crimson. I die cut all three and added some small white dots to the Rouge balloon using a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
I used the largest balloon die cut from the set on another scrap piece of Neenah cardstock. This die cuts both a balloon and an outline of a balloon and I wanted to use just the outline so that some of the background would show through. I used a blending tool to ink the outline with Crimson ink to match the Celebrate balloon.
I also die cut the tassels out of scrap cardstock and used another foam blending tool to ink them with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.
Then it was time to assemble the card. I adhered the outline balloon flush to the card, and I used Zots adhesive dots to adhere the two lighter pink balloons for just a bit of dimension. Then I used foam tape to adhere the celebrate balloon. I also adhered the tassels flush to the card. To finish up, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
What a fun birthday card!
