Thank You Cards

Many Thanks

Hi there, I hope your week is going well!

Today’s card features Distress Ink watercoloring using the Mondo Hydrangea stamp set and the Many Thanks die from Essentials By Ellen at Ellen Hutson.I started by heat embossing the flowers in VersaMark Ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder onto an A2-sized piece of Canson XL Watercolor paper.  I smooshed three shades of Distress Inks onto my glass work surface and then, using a Pentel Aquash Water Brush pen, I colored the flowers.  I started each flower by laying down a very wet layer of Tumbled Glass.  Then I dropped in Salty Ocean and just a touch of Blueprint Sketch onto each petal, near the center of the flower and let it blend out on its own.  In some cases, when the color didn’t move as much as I’d hoped, I added more water to the petal. When the background was mostly dry, I added Blueprint Sketch to the centers of each flower.

I die cut the sentiment three times from 110# white Recollections cardstock, and once from gray kraft Recollections cardstock.  I stacked and adhered the die cuts together and then adhered them to the background.  To finish the card, I adhered the panel to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
