I just couldn’t help myself, I made another background using the emboss resist technique which I chose as my favorite technique for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Flikr Challenge. Read about the challenge here and enter for a chance to win a gift card! #sssflickrchallenge
I started by heat embossing the Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Heart onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest Cardstock using VersaMark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder.
Then I used foam blending tools to blend three pink Distress Oxide inks (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry) on to the background. These inks are so easy to blend!
The sentiment comes from the You Got This stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I use this set so frequently, it’s a must-have for me! I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a strip of vellum. Then I sprinkled Hero Arts Super Fine (clear) embossing powder over top and hit it with a heat gun. I wrapped the sentiment strip around the background and used a tape runner to secure the ends to the back side of the panel.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
