Hi there, I hope you’re having a great day!
Today’s card is an almost-one-layer card featuring the Bitty Burst Turnabout stamp and the Bold & Brushy stamp set, both from Concord and 9th.
I started by stamping the turnabout stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I rotated my cardstock four times and stamped in four Altenew colors: Rouge, Crimson, Lagoon, and Rocky Shore. I really love the size of this turnabout, it’s very easy to work with to create a fun and colorful background very quickly.
Then, using individual letters from the Bold & Brush stamp set, I stamped the word “friend” in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I did a practice run first, stamping on a piece of scrap cardstock. Not only did this help me get a feel for how to connect the letters, which was actually quite easy, it also gave me an idea of how wide the word would be. I used this sample as a guide for spacing my letters on my stamped background.
Next, I heat embossed the teeny “hello” stamp from the turnabout set using VersaMark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder onto a piece of black Recollections cardstock. I used a small piece of foam tape to adhere this to the background.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
