Today’s card features the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero card kit for July. I thought this Enjoy the Ride theme was perfect for a Monday since my week ahead is looking a little crazy 🙂
I started by covering an entire piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock with Candied Apple Distress Ink. I could have used red cardstock here, and probably should have, to save some effort. I used the cover die from the set which cut down the panel to A2-size and created the rays. I removed all of the fallout pieces, except the center oval, and adhered the two remaining pieces to an A2-sized card base.
I stamped the images in Copic-friendly Gina K. Designs Amalgam black ink onto Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock and then did some quick coloring with BG02 and BG07. Then I die cut the pieces and adhered the roller coaster and the ballon flush to the background. I popped up the Ferris wheel with foam tape for dimension.
I heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black Recollections cardstock using Versamark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder. I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment and that finished up today’s card.
