Hello there!
Today I’m getting back on track with The Daily Marker’s 30-day Coloring Challenge with some beautiful flowers from the Spring Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and a sentiment from their You Got This stamp set. This latter set is my absolute favorite because of its encouraging sentiments and small precise font.
I’m also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which you can read about here.
I started by stamping the stems, leaves, and blooms in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock. I used YG21, YG23 and YG17 to color the stems and leaves, and RV63, RV66, and RV69 to color the blooms. When I finished coloring, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then trimmed the panel down to about 4″ x 5.25″ inches.
I created the frame using the two largest dies from the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangles die set. By using washi tape to temporarily tape the two dies together and then running it through my Big Shot die cutting machine, I was able to create a beautifully stitched frame out of the same cardstock. I backed the frame with foam tape and then adhered it on top of the flower panel.
To finish, I adhered the framed card front onto a piece of gray Recollections cardstock and then adhered that to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for coming by!
Lovely!
