Hello there!
Today’s card pairs the sweet new Ditsy Prints stamp set from Altenew with the Neighborhood Home die that they released a couple of months ago.
I started by stamping the spray of flowers twice onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock. The two sprays overlap each other in the middle, but I knew that the overlap would be covered by the house so I didn’t worry about it. The spray has a number of layering stamps so I used Altenew inks which can be purchased in sets of four colors that layer perfectly with each other. I used Sea Breeze, Turquoise, and Tide Blue for the flowers, and Bamboo, Parrot, and Olive for the leaves. When I finished with the flower sprays, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and set it aside.
I then die cut the house pieces from the same cardstock and glued then used a Zig 2-Way chisel-tip glue pen to glue the pieces together. It’s a bit difficult to see in the photos, but in addition to to the body of the house, there is a roof, a window frame, a door, and a teeny tiny doorknob. I also die cut two picket fences.
I adhered the picket fences flush to the card front and then adhered the assembled house with foam tap for a bit of dimension. Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized piece of gray Recollections cardstock and then glued the entire panel to an A2-sized card base to finish the card.
Thanks for visiting!
