Hello there, I hope you’re week is getting off to a nice start!
Today’s card features ice cream cones from the Cone Building stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and a sentiment from Simon’s So Cool stamp set. I’ve also used Alexandra Renke’s Snowfall stencil.
I made this card for a colleague’s daughter who just finished a tough early year of high school. I learned recently that she like’s bullet journaling so I’m going to pair this card with a set of Arteza Fineliner pens. I can’t wait to give them to her!
I started by stamping the cone and ice cream scoop images onto Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock. I used ice cream colors that matched colors from Color Throwdown Challenge #497 (#ctd497 #colorthrowdown), Altenew’s Citrus Burst, Rouge, and Bamboo. I stamped the cones in Rocky Shore. I cut out the scoops with a Brother ScanNCut2 and fussy cut the cones and set them all aside.
I used a foam blending tool to blend Tumbled Glass Distress ink through the stencil onto an A2-sized piece of the same cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then adhered the cones flush to the background. I popped up and adhere the scoops with foam tape for a bit of dimension and finished up the card by adhering the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
I love this simple card. Makes me want a cone of ice cream!
