Hello there, I hope you’re having a lovely weekend!
I’m continuing along with The Daily Marker’s 30-day Coloring Challenge with today’s card that features the Bouquet Builder 1 stamp set from Waffle Flower Crafts, and the No Words sentiment stamp set from Neat and Tangled.
I started by placing an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock into a Misti stamping tool and positioning the large flower stamp. You don’t need a stamping tool, but I’m terrible at getting a good hand-stamped image the first time around so being able to re-stamp is very helpful for me. An added bonus is that, by rotating the cardstock 180 degrees without repositioning the stamp, I wound up with a symmetrical pattern. I did reposition the large flower once, to end up with four flowers, and then added the smaller flower to fill in empty space. I used Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink.
Then it was time to color! I used B60, B63, and B66 for the petals, and YG63 and YG67 for the leaves. I thought it was interesting that after I was done blending, the petals looked like they could have been watercolored.
I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a scrap piece of cardstock and then added a frame of black Recollections cardstock. I adhered that to the background with foam tape for dimension. Then I adhered the entire card front to an A2-sized card base and that finished up the card.
Thanks for swinging by!
Gorgeous blending on those blue flowers!
