Hi there!
Today’s card features the Glamper Camper stamp set from Avery Elle, and the Drifts & Hills and Cloud stencils from My Favorite Things. The birds are from the June 2018 Hero Arts My Monthly Hero subscription kit. Also, it’s day 13 of the The Daily Marker’s 30-day coloring challenge!
I started by stamping the camper, BBQ, and flamingo in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest Cardstock. Then I got out some Copics and just started coloring. I’m not very experienced with coloring so today I tried to restrain myself from blending too much. I often do this and end up feeling like I don’t have enough contrast. So I deliberately left some areas very light, even though the marker strokes are obvious. After I finished, I cut out the images using a Brother ScanNCut2 and set them aside.
The background is an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smoothe cardstock. I used a foam blending tool to blend Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks over the Drifts & Hills stencil to create the grassy hillside. Then I blended on Tumbled Glass over three sides of the Cloud stencil to create the puffy white clouds.
I stamped the sentiment and the birds in Versafine Black Onyx ink and then adhered the camper, BBQ, and flamingo with foam tape to add dimension. Finally, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base and that finished up today’s card.
Thanks for visiting!
Girl this card is SO CUTE!

Thank you! It’s one of the very first stamp sets I bought when I started making cards last year, but this is the first time I’m using it. Can’t wait to use it again!

I bet! It looks like a lot of fun to color, and can be used a ton of different ways! Have you ever tried masking before? You could mask the banner on the RV stamp and add on like a wreath or lights for a christmas card!

Ooooh, great idea on the Christmas lights! I have the perfect Hero Arts set for that, I think. I do occasionally use masking but most of the time I’m too lazy, lol!

Lazy is my middle name 😛 If I can find a faster way to get the same results, I tend to go that route *honesty in it’s finest*
I’m working on it though! I’ve noticed some of the cards I’ve taken my time on turn out MUCH nicer, so the work really does pay off
