Hi there, I hope you’re having a wonderful day!
I’m still playing along with The Daily Marker’s 30-day coloring challenge and today’s card was a practice with watercolor. It features the Mondo Sakura stamp set and the Many Thanks die from Essentials By Ellen at Ellen Hutson.
I started by using Versamark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder to heat emboss the large grouping of flowers (it’s a single stamp!) onto an A2-sized piece of Canson XL Watercolor paper.
Then, I used a Pentel Aquash Water Brush to add Daniel Smith Quinacradone Violet watercolor to the flower petals. I went back in multiple times to add more color to the areas that I thought should be shaded. When I was done with the violet, I used a Tombow Dual Brush Pen markers to add green (color 076) to the stems and a touch of yellow (color 055) to the stamen.
While the card front was drying, I die cut the sentiment three times from #110 black Recollections cardstock. I trimmed off the “many” from “many thanks” and then stacked and adhered the die cuts together. Then I adhered the stacked sentiment to the card front. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for coming by!
Very pretty!
