Hi there!
Today’s card feature’s the Neighborhood stamp set from Altenew. A dear friend of mine just bought a house and I wanted to make a card to celebrate her new home. Also, I’m playing along with the The Daily Marker’s 30-day coloring challenge and I’m practicing my coloring!
I started by stamping the row of houses onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock in Hero Arts Intense Black ink. Then, using my set of Prismacolor pencils, I started coloring. I lost my way a bit with the color palette, but I made it with love so I know my friend will appreciate it!
Once I finished coloring, I stamped the road image in Hero Arts Charcoal Shadow Ink. I lost some of the detail of the lane divider so I used a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to go to clean up the small stripes of white.
Then, using the Clouds stencil from My Favorite Things, I used a foam blending tool to blend on the clouds in Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Black Onyx ink onto a scrap piece of cardstock and trimmed it down. I also trimmed the card front to 4″ x 5.25.”
I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base using foam tape for dimension. Then I adhered the sentiment with foam tape and that finished up today’s card.
Thanks for visiting!
