Thank You Cards

Many Thanks

Hi there!  I hope you’re having a great day!

Today is Day 3 of The Daily Marker’s 30-day coloring challenge and I’m practicing my coloring with the beautiful Kind Soul stamp set from Wplus9.

I started with an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock which I put into a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform.  I used this platform because the stamp is large, and because I wanted to stamp off the edge of the card.  My Misti wasn’t large enough to accomplish this.

I used Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink to stamp the image in one corner of the card front, and then rotated the card front 180 degrees and stamped again in the opposite corner.  Then I re-positioned the stamp to fill in an empty corner, stamped, rotated 180 degrees and stamped again.  The final result left just a bit of white space in the middle where I planned to put the sentiment.

20180602_202432Then I got down to coloring.  I started by laying down the lightest color first, and then adding flicks of the middle and darker colors.  Then I went back in with the lightest color to blend a bit.  I did go back in with a very dark color to add additional depth.  I also added touches of white using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

The sentiment is the Many Thanks die from Essentials By Ellen from Ellen Hutson.  I cut it out of Recollections 110# black cardstock three times.  I used a Zig 2-way Glue Pen to easily add liquid adhesive so that I could stack the die cuts together to create a dimensional sentiment.  Then I adhered the sentiment to the card front which I in turn adhered to an A2-sized card base.  And that finished up today’s card.

Thanks for visiting!
